Something For Every Vegetable Gardener

Established vegetable gardeners have their favorite varieties that are important to them. We try to keep a list of the requested varieties in the hope that we may be able to produce that item in the future. We encourage you to tell us what varieties you like. We keep the book for customer requests in the information booth and look forward to your comments!

Based on the requests that we had, we have added over 20 new varieties of vegetables this spring. I'm only able to feature of few them here so please look at the attached complete variety list for more.

Tomato Goliath – This is an heirloom variety that has dark pink, 3 lb fruit with ribs. It's described as very sweet and tangy at the same time.

Tomato Kellogg's Breakfast – This is an heirloom/ Beefsteak type of tomato that has golden orange, 16 oz, globe fruit. I'm not sure if the name has any connection to the Kellogg's in Battle Creek.

Tomato Tomatoberry – This is a cherry type tomato that has very sweet flavor and matures in only 60 days.

Tomato Yellow Ildi Grape – This is a cherry type tomato with yellow fruit.

Pepper Hottie – This is a new variety for 2009. The peppers are green to orange and are 2" long. It's hot but not as hot as others.

Pepper Italian Roaster – This is the best pepper for grilling. The peppers are green to red and 4" x 4" bell shape.

Cucumber Summer Top – This is a new variety for 2009. It's the best "burpless" type cucumber because it's Downy and Powdery Mildew resistant.

Zucchini Emerald City – This is a new variety for 2009. It's great for grilling or eating raw.
