Kazoo School Eighth Graders Succeed in Raising Funds for Trip
"My students are already asking when we will start selling the Wenke/Kazoo School Bucks for 2008," states Janice Russo, Math and Science Teacher at Kazoo Schools. "Last year we exceeded our fundraising goal of $500 and this year's eighth graders are eager to get going to raise funds for this year's trip."
"The fundraising program with Wenke Greenhouses is easy for me and my students to promote, explains Janice. The "bucks" are worth face value and can be used toward any item at Wenke's store. It is that easy. With Wenke's being well-known in the area for beautiful flowers, planters, baskets and shrubs, the bucks almost sell themselves."
"We have enjoyed participating in this fundraising program. Its ease in implementing and administering plus the generous percentage we make from the sales, makes this an exciting fundraiser we'll continue for years to come," Janice said.
Carol Bale of Portage purchased $50 worth of Wenke/Kazoo School bucks for herself and family members. "It was an easy way to support the students and it was actually a product I could use. Sometimes we purchase items to help students and schools and don't always have a use for the product. Not so with the Wenke/Kazoo bucks," states Carol.
Wenke Greenhouses offers spring fundraising opportunities to 15 organizations per season. There are three ways in which organizations can partner with Wenke Greenhouses to raise funds. The first is selling certificates/bucks to the greenhouse, second is selling a particular plant and third is an in-store event where your organization volunteers at our store for a day and receives a percentage of sales for that day.
