Perennial of the Week

The foliage of Dicentra is also nice with its lobed leaf shape and dark green color.

Dicentra, Bleeding Hearts, 25% Off

Dicentra is a very popular perennial because it's easy to grow and has beautiful blooms early in the season. It does best in part shade and areas that are somewhat protected like edges of woodlands or on the north or east side of buildings. The name comes from the appearance of the pink flower which resembles the shape of a heart with a drop of blood descending. Dicentra is great for naturalizing an area. We recommend dividing them every three years.
