Fall Harvest of Knowledge Fundraising Event

Friday and Saturday, October 12 and 13, from 9 am to 6 pm

Wenke Greenhouses will host the Fall Harvest of Knowledge fundraising event to support the Kalamazoo County Master Gardener Volunteer Program.

Various, 30 minute demonstrations will be offered throughout the day that are free to the public. Demonstrations include:

Forcing Bulbs - how to enjoy blossoming bulbs indoors

Bulbs in the Bottom - New item, fall to spring bulb and plant containers

Pansies in Pumpkins - containers for kids to make

Adding Pizazz to Your Containers - fall and winter decorating ideas

Growing Herbs Indoors - how to grow your favorite herbs indoors

Surviving the Winter - how to keep tender plants alive indoors

Bulb Blossoms - when and how to plant bulbs for extra blossoms

Wenke's will have mums, Survivor Pansies, perennials and home decor items for sale with a percentage of sales going to support the Master Gardener Program.

Also, Master Gardeners will be on hand to answer gardening questions.
