Have you ever roasted Peeps over a campfire? This past Saturday, my family and I took advantage of the beautiful weather and decided it was time for our first backyard campfire of the season. Of course, being this close to Easter, we all had our sticks all ready to roast our favorite little chickadees over the open fire! If you haven't ever tried it, this is the absolute BEST way to enjoy a Peep! Roasting the Peeps allows the sugar to caramelize as the exterior of the Peep crisps up while creating a soft, melty center. Mmm, mmm, mmm! And then, if you sandwich this between two graham crackers with some chocolate, you will have an explosion of wonderful flavors and textures going on inside your mouth. With Easter right around the corner, stock up on some Peeps and give it a try. Your taste buds will thank you!
